The Ghymes band - besides the summer tour - is working on the recording of its new album in the Fambi Studio in Révkomárom. According to the plans, the album will consist of 10 Christmas songs, and it is expected to be released in November by EMI. The band's traditional - but this time specifically constructed - Christmas concert in the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna on December 26th will be based on the new album. The performance will walk round the mystery of Christmas as a celebration, community forming tradition, and all that is born along, in one unit, thematically - in music and literature. |
Besides the previously announced programme, the tent of the Duna TV is waiting for the audience with continuous programs from 12:00pm till 9:45pm. The detailed programs of the tent are available on the Festival Page of our site. Program change: Due to technical reasons, instead of the performance of the Komáromi Jókai Színház, a comedy titled "Sóska sült krumplival" ["Sorrel with pommes frites"] can be seen, performed by the SZEVASZ Színház (SZErdahelyi VÁrosi SZínház) [SZEVASZ Theatre]. Our recommendation to those who stay at home: On June 30th, the final of Mentor (a folk singers' competition of the Carpathian Basin) followed by the Ghymes concert on the Szikince main stage can be seen in a live broadcast by the Duna TV. The former is scheduled at 8:00pm, the latter is at 10:00pm. Our warm welcome to everybody both at the Festival and in front of the TV sets. |
